Whitewater kayaking is addictive! An exhilarating sport that puts you out of your comfort zone and the progression journey when learning is hugely rewarding. We welcome beginners looking to get on the water, lapsed paddlers and experienced paddlers who can help in our coaching sessions, join river trips and enjoy the Pinkston whitewater course.
If you are new to kayaking we recommend The Whitewater 3-week progression course run by Pinkston Watersports. In just 3 weeks the course will take you from a wobbler to a whitewater runner! Having this under your belt will allow you to get the most out of our sessions and we can hone your skills and quickly get you out on club river trips.
Pinkston Watersports
We book club sessions at Glasgow’s artificial whitewater course year round, have a container full of kit for members to use.
River Trips
You’ll soon learn to look forward to rain! Whitewater rivers need rain to keep the levels “up” enough to paddle. We arrange club trips and will also open up a “network” of paddlers who arrange peer paddles. Follow us on Facebook and we have a group for sharing info, paddling related stuff and bad jokes…
Pool sessions
Our pool sessions are back. We are trialling a new location at Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre. Sessions are Monday 8.30pm -9.30pm. Winter dates will be be available to book in the calendar.
It’s a great opportunity to get to grips with rolling in a controlled environment or practice freestyle moves or general paddle strokes.
