Pinkston Watersports

We are lucky to have Pinkston Water Sports in the City. An artificial white water course, just north of the city centre. It’s a safe environment to hone kayaking skills, having a large flat water basin for beginners and a white water course to practice skills in a controlled environment.

We hold regular club nights throughout the year here and also have a container with all the kit you need to start off in kayaking. Our club nights are Tuesday nights from 7pm – all Tuesdays except the 3rd Tuesday of the month. You can attend 3 sessions before having to join the club. There’s no better way to spend a tenner – an hour and a half on the water with coaching and all the kit you need!

Read on below for more information, or if you want to come along, choose your date on the calendar and book on. Advance booking is essential.

Club sessions

Glasgow Kayak Club book sessions at Pinkston 3 times per month. Coached sessions are supported by experienced members and will help progress skills, whether just starting out with the basics of moving water or moving onto more powerful water and features. Supported sessions are in conjunction with Monklands Kayak Club and for those who are able to self rescue themselves and kit. Park & Play
